The 3DRap Feeling PRO is also compatible with consoles like PlayStation and XBox. Wind Generators

  • Power: 120x38mm fans were chosen to have a good amount of power available;
  • Flow: the conveyor was designed through fluid dynamics analysis to maximize the flow rate, the flow speed and the efficiency of the fan, ensuring optimal performance levels for the simulation. A high-quality 3D printing technology was used to maximize the surface finish of the conveyor elements by reducing air resistance.

  • Modulation: PWM-controlled fans were chosen, designed specifically for the project specifications; unlike the most common DC continuous power fans, PWM-controlled fans guarantee perfect modulation of the air flow with respect to the speed of the car.
  • Installation flexibility: thanks to the double provision for M6 and M8 nuts and the two degrees of freedom of adjustment, it is possible to satisfy every installation requirement.

FAQ

I have the old version: 3DRap Feeling Upgrade. Can you help me?

Why do the fans turn on by themselves and blow?

In the absence of USB signals, the fans will spin to signal the need to turn off the power supply; turn off the power to turn off the fans.

Can I use 8 Rumble motors by purchasing a splitter cable for each channel?

It is not authorized to use a number of rumbles higher than that indicated for each channel. Improper use of the channels can cause overloading of the motor drivers with damaging effects for the electronic board and the power supply.

Is it possible to split a channel more than once?

It is not possible to split a channel more than once. A maximum of one splitter is authorized for each channel that is intended to be split (marked with x2).

Is it possible to use the 3A power supply for more Rumble motors or fans than listed?

It is not possible to use the 3A power supply outside the specifications reported. The appropriate combinations are suggested to safely use the 3A power supply avoiding excessive absorption. To increase the number of Rumble or Fans you need to get an oversized power supply or buy it in a kit with the Pro Upgrade.

Where can I mount generic rumbles?

Generic rumbles can be mounted anywhere on the cockpit: you can purchase an extra cable sold as an accessory by 3DRap with a length of 1 m to extend the wiring from the control unit to the positioning point of the Rumble.

How does the breakdown assistance policy work? Is the product under warranty?

In the event of a fault, the company reserves the right to carry out a check directly on the malfunctioning product; outward shipping is paid by the buyer. The electronic control unit must not be opened to avoid violating the warranty. If the damage is due to a defect, the repair and shipping will be borne by 3DRap, otherwise there will be a flat rate cost to be paid by the user of €39.00.

Is it possible to open the electronic box in case of malfunction without violating the warranty?

No. Once the box is opened, the guarantee seal will be broken. From that moment on all repair costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

I hear a little hum from the Rumble Motors, is this normal?

It is a normal behavior: it depends on the voltage commanded to the motor.

  • Power supply overload: the customer decides to go beyond the recommended combinations for using the 3A power supply, for example by adding more rumble motors than the maximum possible or more fans than the maximum possible;
  • Channel overload: the customer connects more motors than the maximum allowable for each channel;
  • Incorrect fan connection: the customer inserts the fan connectors in reverse.

Precautions for using the Wind Simulator

  • The product is supplied with a protective grille to avoid direct contact with the fan impeller; always make sure that the grille is in good condition so that it can perform its function;
  • Instructions for starting the 3DRap Pro Wind: it is recommended to establish the USB connection before powering the Pro Upgrade board;
  • Instructions for turning off the 3DRap Pro Wind: it is recommended to disconnect the power supply before interrupting the USB connection;
  • The above instructions are intended to improve the reliability of the product and ensure safety during use: in the event that the device is powered in the absence of USB signals, the fans start to operate to
    signal the need to interrupt the power supply. The fans will turn off once the power supply is interrupted.
